GENERAL INFO

  • The climb is taking place at One Canada Square in Canary Wharf.

  • Please refer to the Event Information page to find instructions on how to arrive via public transport or road. Please be aware of the latest closures from TFL:

    DLR:  Sunday 8 December, no service between Poplar / Stratford International and Beckton / Woolwich Arsenal. 

    Elizabeth Line:  Sunday 8 December, until 0740, no service between Paddington and Ealing Broadway. 

    Sunday 8 December, a reduced service operates between Paddington and Heathrow / Maidenhead (in addition, there will be no service until 0740 between Paddington and Ealing Broadway). 

    Mildmay:  Sunday 8 December, no service between Kensington (Olympia) and Clapham Junction.

  • If you have chosen for your race pack to be posted to you, please arrive 30 - 45 minutes prior to your wave start time.

    If you have chosen to collect your race pack on the day, please arrive 45 minutes - 1 hour prior to your wave start time.

  • Yes, one will be provided within the lobby on the ground floor of One Canada Square.

  • Yes, you must bring valid photo ID on the event date, for example, a driver’s licence, passport or citizen card. Head straight to the reception desk on arrival and present your ID to a member of staff. You will not be able to participate in the climb without any ID.

  • Obviously this will vary, but we expect the average climb time to take approximately 30 minutes.

  • Yes. The suggested fundraising target is £300 per climber. We will support you every step of the way with fundraising hints and tips.

  • Supporters can access the start area in the lobby to see you off. They will not be able to join you at the summit. The climb will take approximately 30 minutes. There will be a cafe in the lobby, plus lots of activities for supporters to do whilst they wait. Climbers will be emailed a list of exclusive offers once you have entered.

  • On entry you will select a wave start time. The first wave start time you can select is 10.00, with the final wave start time being 14.00. There is a wave start time every 30 minutes between these.

TRAINING

  • The event should be suitable for most people with a moderate level of fitness. Before you start please assess your fitness, and if you are unsure if you are fit enough please check with your doctor.

    If you’d like to prepare in more detail, take a look at our 3 week training plan below:

    Week 1:

    Stair Climbing - Climb 20-25 floors, practicing mindfulness and positive affirmations. 

    Active Recovery - Light outdoor activity (walk, jog) while connecting with surroundings. 

    Fundraising - Host an event like a bake sale to raise funds for Felix. 

    Week 2:

    Stair Climbing - Climb 25-30 floors at a comfortable pace. 

    Cardio - 20-30 minutes light jogging or cycling. 

    Active Recovery - Focus on mental preparation and relaxation. 

    Fundraising: Express gratitude for the support received so far and remind people of the impact their donations will have on fighting hunger and food waste. 

    Week 3:

    Light Stair Climb - Climb 10-15 floors, maintaining a steady pace. 

    Engage in Festive Activity

    Rest and Hydration 

    Fundraising: Share a heartfelt video message expressing your excitement and encouraging donations for Felix. 

    Week 4:

    Participate in the Santa Stair Climb!!!

    Active Recovery - Light walking or gentle stretching. 

    Celebrate Your Achievement - Reflect on your accomplishment and enjoy the festivities. 

    Fundraising: Share photos and a recap of your stair climb experience, thanking donors for their support and highlighting Felix's mission!

rEGISTRATION

  • Once you sign up you'll have full access to your participant dashboard which will give you all the details you'll need to know about the event.

  • Individual entry price is £30 and team entry is £100 for a team of 4.

  • We're offering you the chance to cover the processing fee which means all of your entry fee will go to The Felix Project.

  • Enter a team of 4 climbers for £100. The team captain sets up the team by registering themselves and paying the team entry fee. They will receive a confirmation email with access to the Team Dashboard. Here they will find an entry link to share with team mates. Important: team member places are not reserved until each climber completes their individual registration via this invite link.

Participants with disabilities

  • Unfortunately due to the nature of the event we can't support wheelchair accessible entries. One Canada Square is wheelchair accessible throughout for supporters and volunteers.

  • Entries from blind or visually impaired participants are welcome. We may require you to be accompanied by a guide participant who will also need to register. Please contact us at hello@santastairclimb.com.
